Intervista a Noemi Lopes
«È difficile fare una famiglia guadagnando soltanto 800 euro al mese. Abbiamo un ruolo importante nella sanità e non siamo medici di serie B». Ha le idee chiare Noemi Lopes, Segretario Nazionale FIMMG Formazione, che, pur ricordando le difficoltà degli studenti del corso di medicina generale, non rinuncia all’ottimismo: «Stiamo lavorando tutti insieme per incrementare sempre di più quelle che sono le nostre competenze, allargare gli orizzonti della nostra professione, supportati dall’intero sindacato», racconta a Sanità Informazione. Del resto, ricorda Lopes, fare il medico di famiglia è una «vocazione» e non ci si arrende alle prime difficoltà.
Dottoressa, a settembre lei protestava per il ritardo nella pubblicazione del bando per le scuole di specializzazione. Sul tema della formazione dei medici di medicina generale ci sono novità?
«Sulla formazione al momento è cambiato ancora poco. Le grosse novità sono sulla medicina generale perché sono stati fatti grandi passi avanti per i giovani con il nuovo accordo firmato il 29 marzo, l’Acn, che nella prima parte mira a velocizzare l’ingresso dei giovani alla professione della medicina generale. Tante le novità, tra cui la possibilità di acquisire incarichi di continuità assistenziale e quindi di fare attività pratica durante il corso, incrementando così anche gli introiti della sola borsa di studio. Si tratta di importanti novità per chi sceglie di intraprendere questa strada».
Quindi vi soddisfa l’Acn anche dal punto di vista dei giovani?
«Sì anche perché finalmente sono state introdotte le tutele per la gravidanza. Sostanzialmente le donne in gravidanza non perderanno punteggio durante l’astensione obbligatoria, mentre prima chi, per questo motivo, perdeva mesi di graduatoria durante il corso perdeva di fatto un anno per l’iscrizione. Con le nuove regole questo non si verificherà più perché potranno iscriversi autocertificandosi il titolo acquisito entro il 15 settembre. Una misura di tutela per le colleghe in gravidanza».
I medici che seguono il corso di medicina generale hanno un trattamento economico e contributivo diverso dagli specializzandi. In questo senso vi sentite penalizzati?
«Il fatto di percepire una borsa che è la metà di quella dei nostri colleghi e che è anche tassata, sicuramente per noi è una condizione svantaggiosa dal punto di vista pratico perché è difficile fare una famiglia guadagnando soltanto 800 euro al mese dovendo pagare tutte le tasse. È chiaro che anche agli occhi dei colleghi questo ha fatto sempre pensare che la medicina generale avesse un trattamento di serie B quando in realtà sappiamo bene che è un pilastro fondamentale del Sistema Sanitario Nazionale. Per fortuna i colleghi hanno una nuova consapevolezza dovuta al fatto che anche come FIMMG stiamo organizzando diversi eventi per i giovani che si abilitano e che vengono a conoscenza di quella che è la medicina generale. Sono sempre di più i giovani che ci chiedono informazioni, che cercano di avvicinarsi, però sicuramente ancora tanto può essere fatto, a partire dall’aumento della borsa perché è chiaro che se mi paghi tanto quanto il mio collega di specializzazione allora davvero non c’è differenza tra medici che hanno pari dignità, mentre così sembra che siamo messi sempre in un gradino inferiore. Sappiamo che l’aumento della borsa potrebbe invogliare i giovani ad intraprendere questa carriera».
