"I vaccini salvano vite. Sono una responsabilità individuale"
Al via oggi la Settimana europea delle vaccinazioni (EIW), un'iniziativa annuale che sensibilizza sull'importanza dell'immunizzazione per la salute e il benessere delle persone.
La Settimana europea di immunizzazione (EIW) è celebrata in tutta la regione europea dell'OMS per sensibilizzare sul ruolo fondamentale dei vaccini nella protezione della salute pubblica e per ricordare a ciascuna persona di fare la propria parte per immunizzare l'Europa. Per questo l'obiettivo di EIW è aumentare la consapevolezza dell'importanza dell'immunizzazione tra genitori e operatori sanitari, responsabili politici e decisionali e i media.
L'EIW 2018 si concentrerà sull'immunizzazione come una responsabilità individuale giusta e condivisa per contribuire a colmare le lacune in materia di immunizzazione e ad avanzare ulteriormente verso gli obiettivi globali di sviluppo sostenibile.
