Milillo: sfida da cogliere, siamo pronti
Prestazioni sanitarie 'teleguidatè a distanza, monitoraggio dei malati cronici e, addirittura interventi d'emergenza in quelle zone più isolate e impervie del Paese: sono solo alcune delle promesse della telemedicina, regolata dalle linee d'indirizzo nazionali approvate dalla Conferenza Stato-Regioni. Il documento, anticipato dall'Adnkronos Salute, affronta a 360 gradi tutti gli aspetti della telemedicina: dall'organizzazione del servizio alla sua integrazione nel Servizio sanitario nazionale, fino agli aspetti etici e regolatori, incluso il tema della privacy. In linea generale, l'intesa siglata tra il Governo e le Regioni definisce, ad esempio, i criteri di autorizzazione e accreditamento da parte delle strutture sanitarie per l'erogazione di prestazioni in telemedicina. E ancora: l'organizzazione del servizio, le modalità e i criteri di efficienza.
L'accordo prevede l'istituzione di una commissione tecnica formata da sei componenti, di cui tre designati dal ministero della Salute e tre dalle Regioni, con il compito di monitorare eventuali criticità.
Le linee guida fanno chiarezza nella definizione di telemedicina e sgombrano il campo da equivoci: “La telemedicina - si legge - non sostituisce la prestazione sanitaria tradizionale nel rapporto personale medico-paziente, ma la integra per potenzialmente migliorare efficacia, efficienza e appropriatezza”.
“La telemedicina è una sfida da cogliere, che porterà grandi vantaggi al Servizio sanitario nazionale. Porterà a una riduzione del numero dei ricoveri, e quindi dei costi per il Ssn, e a prestazioni sempre più efficaci. Noi medici di famiglia siamo pronti”. Ha commentato Giacomo Milillo all’Adnkronos Salute.
“La telemedicina - spiega Milillo - non è un meccanismo complesso, almeno nell'utilizzo degli strumenti. La complessità, semmai - aggiunge - è nell'organizzazione generale del sistema”. Neanche i costi sembrerebbero un ostacolo. “I costi dei device sono abbastanza bassi”, sottolinea Milillo, soprattutto alla luce dei vantaggi enormi che le visite 2.0 possono portare all'intero sistema. Milillo auspica infine “la possibilità per i medici di famiglia di poter disporre di personale di supporto ai servizi di telemedicina”.
