Buoni i primi risultati della campagna promossa dall'Aifa
La campagna dell’AIFA sull'“Uso consapevole dei farmaci in gravidanza e nei bambini” sta dando i suoi primi frutti.
Molti genitori infatti manifestano, anche negli studi dei medici di famiglia, interesse per la qualità e per le garanzie che i farmaci offrono per la cura dei loro figli.
Riteniamo particolarmente importante il messaggio della campagna con l’auspicio di un maggior coinvolgimento dell’età pediatrica nei trial clinici necessari per concedere l’autorizzazione all’immissione in commercio.
Lo stesso vale anche per gli anziani che, pur essendo i principali consumatori di farmaci, non sono adeguatamente presenti nella popolazione sottoposta a sperimentazione farmacologia.
Analoga importanza ha anche il messaggio della campagna sulla precauzione nell’autocura che con i bambini sarebbe sempre da sconsigliare.
I bambini infatti “non sono adulti in miniatura” e “il senso della misura non è sufficiente”.
Fondamentale quindi riferirsi ai consigli del proprio medico/pediatra per un uso appropriato e in sicurezza dei farmaci per i nostri piccoli.
Sono elementi che noi medici di famiglia riteniamo importanti e che promuoviamo da sempre.
