Evento Fimmg domani al III Congresso nazionale della Corte di Giustizia Popolare per il diritto alla salute di Rimini
L’INCONTRO E’ LA PRIMA DI UNA SERIE DI INIZIATIVE FIMMG SULL’EPIDEMIA DEDICATE AI MMG
Aggiornare i medici di medicina generale sull’Ebola, dagli aspetti clinici alle procedure da attuare nell’eventualità di un caso sospetto, fornendo anche gli strumenti per saper gestire gli allarmismi da parte della popolazione. E’ l’obiettivo del simposio “Il medico di medicina generale e l’allarme Ebola: clinica e management delle epidemie del terzo millennio nel setting della medicina generale”, organizzato da Fimmg nell’ambito III Congresso Nazionale della Corte di Giustizia Popolare per il Diritto alla Salute, che si aprirà domani a Rimini. L’incontro si svolgerà domani dalle 11 alle 13 ed è dedicato a tutti i mmg che saranno presenti al Congresso.
Si tratta della prima di una serie di iniziative che Fimmg metterà in atto per fornire ai professionisti strumenti utili per affrontare le criticità gestionali che si potrebbero verificare. In programma anche un corso Fad e la realizzazione di poster da esporre negli ambulatori.
“La possibilità che un malato di Ebola raggiunga l’Italia è stimata al momento tra il 5 ed il 10%, considerando l’assenza di collegamenti aerei diretti con le aree colpite dall’epidemia – spiega Tommasa Maio, responsabile del progetto -. Benché la probabilità di riscontrare casi importati nel nostro Paese sia bassa, è necessario avviare una campagna di informazione e di formazione qualificata per fornire ai professionisti sanitari un aggiornamento continuo sugli aspetti epidemiologici e clinici della malattia, sulle procedure per la gestione dei casi sospetti o confermati e sui centri di riferimento”.
