Medici di medicina generale perno della battaglia contro il Covid-19
Si è appena conclusa l’edizione 2021 del Congresso “Innovazione e Sostenibilità” che è stata l’occasione per fare il punto sul futuro della Sanità del nostro Paese alla luce delle criticità di sistema emerse durante la pandemia e delle opportunità rappresentate dal Recovery Fund in sanità. In questo momento è fondamentale guardare al futuro, al post emergenza, e delineare proposte concrete in ambito organizzativo, gestionale e regolatorio con un focus specifico sui temi inerenti la sostenibilità, l’innovazione farmacologica e l’ottimizzazione del Sistema Salute alla luce dei margini di miglioramento emersi in quest’anno di pandemia. L’evento, organizzato da 3PSoution e patrocinato da AIFA, AIOM, FIMMG, SIF, SIP e SITI ha favorito un confronto con esperti e attori di sistema sui 10 temi che saranno cruciali per l’ottimizzazione del nostro Sistema Sanitario Nazionale. Nelle edizioni precedenti, il Congresso si è occupato dell’evoluzione della ricerca in campo clinico che porta all’innovazione e all’applicazione innovativa in differenti aree terapeutiche. Quest’anno è stato naturale cambiare prospettiva e fermarsi a discutere sulle criticità emerse durante la pandemia cercando di riflettere sulle possibili soluzioni da mettere in campo per un cambio di passo evolutivo del nostro Sistema sanitario. “La pandemia da SARS-CoV-2 ha evidenziato come l’assistenza portata a domicilio con terapie sintomatiche e l’attento monitoraggio dei pazienti gestiti dai medici di medicina generale abbia rappresentato, in affiancamento alla vaccinazione, il perno della battaglia contro il COVID-19, consentendo in molti casi di evitare la malattia grave e l’accesso all’ospedale. – ha affermato Silvestro Scotti, Segretario Generale Nazionale FIMMG – Federazione Italiana Medici di Famiglia – La speranza è che questo stesso modello di gestione integrata e condivisa possa essere riproposto, in futuro, per diverse categorie di pazienti con condizioni trattabili a domicilio. Questo consentirebbe di ottenere significativi vantaggi anche dal punto di vista della sostenibilità, evitando costi elevati per il ricovero e l’assistenza ospedaliera di molti pazienti.” Successivamente, ampio spazio è stato dedicato alla digital health, alle terapie avanzate e alla necessità di un maggiore ricorso agli strumenti di valutazione nelle decisioni.
